1. This random guy from India found Mark on Orkut and wanted him to join his friends list. His name is Jayaselvan Selladura and this is a picture of what he likes to call "My 180 Style".2. Haircuts - Don't you love the feeling after a nice haircut? Today Emma and I both got haircuts from my friend Brooke Butler. It was Emma's first haircut. She sat very still for Brooke. This is a picture of her in the haircutting cape. The first thing she did when Brooke put it on was look for her hands. :)

3. Internships - Mark found two awesome internships this week. He is accepting both! One is a paid internship with the LDS Church in the Church History Department. It will be almost full-time, and Mark will be in charge of marketing for The Joseph Smith Papers (Here is a link describing these: http://www.lds.org/churchhistory/content/0,15757,4609-1-2335,00.html) This is an amazing opportunity for him and a great responsibility. This is "one of the largest and most important projects in LDS Church history." I am really excited for Mark. This internship is looking like it will last through December. Mark interviewed last week by phone and then was called in for an interview to be held today. The man interviewing had decided on Mark already, but just wanted to see if he would like Mark as much as he did on the phone. He did and extended the internship to him. Isn't that great!
The second thing he will be doing will only be 2-5 hours, once a week. This internship is with LDS Philanthropies. This one will last for an entire year. He will be in charge of corporate matching (a type of fundraising) for the Utah area. "LDS Philanthropies serves as the central coordinating agency for all donations to the Church or one of its institutions—beyond tithing and fast offerings—with the goal of helping members and friends of the Church meet the needs of people worldwide. This is accomplished by focusing on those priorities selected and approved by the leaders of the Church and its institutions." (http://www.lds.org/ldsfoundation/welcome/0,6892,407-1-0,00.html)
Mark will not only be working for a good cause, but he will receive great training to prepare him for wherever he works in the future. These are both very exciting opportunities. We feel so blessed. I am ecstatic for Mark. So, we have our plans for this summer! Yea!
